The Home is designed to meet the needs of GCT residents who can no longer live independently in the sheltered accommodation which the Trust provides. However, the Home can also cater for fee paying residents when there are rooms available. All rooms have en-suite facilities consisting of a shower, toilet and washbasin. There are a range of bathrooms where assisted bathing facilities are available for those residents with mobility problems. There is a large bright and comfortable garden room for residents use, which overlooks the well maintained gardens of the Home and the light and airy dining room provides a popular venue for meal times. In addition there is a quiet lounge set aside for those residents who wish to read or write letters without disturbance. Friends and families are encouraged to visit residents at Guild House and join in with some of the social occasions which take place on a regular basis. Within recent years the Home has undergone a £2million refurbishment and re-decoration in order to ensure that it is able to provide the residents with a superb environment whilst dealing with their care needs in a modern and appropriate manner. Guild House is inspected by the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate and copies of recent reports can be viewed on their website. The Manager of Guild House and her staff take pride in providing a home and standard of care with which the residents feel happy, secure and comfortable.
